Autologous fat transfer involves taking fat from one part of the patient’s body, such as the abdomen, thighs, or buttocks, and re-injecting it beneath the skin. The amount of fat injected is usually twice the amount required, since the body quicklye aborbs 50-75% of the amount injected. The amount absorbed varies from individual to individual.
